The Real Christmas – Australian Style

Friday, December 24th, 2004

In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, how can we rememver the ral meaning of Jesus’ birthday? Here are some suggestions;

When we see a nativity scene
remember that Jesus broke into human history
When we hear a Christmas carol
Recall the angelic host burst into praise at Jesus’ birth
When we give or receive a gift
Thank God for His gift of eternal life
When we use a credit card
Remember that Jesus paid our debt off with God
When we look at our Christmas tree
Reflech on the fact that Jesus hung on a cross
When we are inspired by the lights of Christmas
Rejoice because Jesus is the light of the world

Great Opportunity, Great Generosity!

Sunday, December 12th, 2004

Our Op Shop has had another wonderful year of trading. In their generosity they have made available $4,000 in 2004 and $10,00 in 2005 to finance capital improvements and equipment purchases.

Parish Council belives that the best way to allocate the funds is to use it to to pup parishoners’ donations to specified projects. Whatever projects receive your support will be the ones to receive the Op Shop support.

All you need to do is place your donation in the envelope and mark on the front which cause you wish to support. Please consider giving a Christmas present to your church family this year.
