Doctors, when they discover the cure for a disease are drawn to help those afflicted by it. Fred Hollows is a prime example as he championed the treatment of trachoma and other eye diseases first in Australia and then in many countries overseas.

Christian have come to know the ultimate healer in Jesus Christ. He left heaven and stretched out His hand to humanity. he spoke to us and died for us, when we were in the middle of messing up our lives and His world. What He did, the Bible encourages us to do.

We have experienced the love of God and the warmth of Christian Community. If we truly understand that love, we will want others to share that life.

As Jesus walked across the divide into our lives, He is encouraging us to walk across the room, to walk across the office, to walk across the classroom, to walk across the sporting field and stretch out a hand of love to those who don’t yet understand God’s love.

How did you end up in God’s kingdom? For most of us it’s because someone walked across a room and offered us love, grace and salvation.
