Giving God the Glory
Friday, October 28th, 2005As the St. Luke’s Congregation give thanks to God for His plentiful provision of our community, we should all remember that all good things come from the lord. Even our abilities and accomplishments can be traced back to our heavenly Creator.
As a parish, God has entrusted us with the care of significant land resources. How are we going in our management of this rich endowment?
- The Ministry Centre
The negotiations for the land purchase are nearing completion with the Department of Education. Please pray that we will finalise the exchange by Christmas. The building plans are now ready for the architect to add the final touches. - The Sale of Wongawilli
The Anglican Diocese approved the sale of the property on the market this week. Throughout November we will be seeking expressions of interest through the Mercury and Real Estate advertising. - St Luke’s Brownsville
The NSW Government and Wollongong Council officials have now rejected their idea to arrange a swap to allow housing to be developed on the site. The capital will be diverted to other parish capital projects. We are seeking a Government Heritage Grant to assist in maintaining the church building - St. Aidan’s Mount Brown
We will be discussing how to more conveniently accommodate our growing numbers during November. - Staff Housing
Furure additional staff requirements will be met by providing housing allowances which will encourage new staff to purchase their own residences. Mike Greenwood who is arriving to pastor Horsley has purchased a house in West Dapto. (This is in line with Diocesan recommentations).
