Lest We Forget
Apr 27th
This week Australians celebrated what many believe is the most significant day in our year. For many the “ANZAC spirit” defines our national identity. Qualities like courage, mateship, sacrifice and ingenuity are esteemed.
Next week our church has a special opportunity to celebrate similar qualities. As the 10 confirmees Lauren Allon, Amy Davis, Kaitlyn Dixon, Andrew Farrugia, Nathan Farrugia, Karoleena Ivanov, Stuart Jansen, Melanie Rooke, Lauren Rouse and Leesa Tomlinson stand and declare their faith in Christ, they help us to remember the essentials of our faith. Their response of devotion to Jesus’ call on their lives is a great challenge to all of us.
We follow Jesus who defines sacrifice by His death in our place. Jesus’ whole mission to earth demonstrated God’s love and commitment to people. Jesus embodies true mateship!
Next week at 6.30pm at the Ministry Centre we have a special opportunity to remember Jesus and His call on our lives.
