Free Firewood to a Good Home
Praise God that Wollongong City Council have approved the removal of the Chinese Elm Tree thus allowing our building plans to now flourish.
Take a Bough!
Please pray that the two remaining issues do not now stump us. We need final approval for the traffic plan (now that we have a tree free entrance driveway) and the stormwater arrangements for the remaining trees. It would be terrific if all the problems could be pruned away in time for Council to clear our plans at their next meeting.
The new facilities we are aiming to plant will facilitate our branching out into the community. Our building task teams have grafted into our ministry plans great vision and opportunities to serve. It will be an exciting time to see how God grows His kingdom here.

Is The Bishop Right?
Monday’s Illawarra Mercury featured our new Bishop Al Stewart on its front page. He stirred up the community’s interest with some observations he made concerning the Illawarra. While he praised the beauty and lifestyle of the area, he challenged our priorities. His observation was that many in the Wollongong community have become caught up in materialism and attaching security to our wonderful homes. In essence he was questioning our generosity and compassion.
The community response in the “Letters To The Editor” section were mixed. What is our reaction?
I have found Dapto Anglican as a church to be very generous. But I wonder if we have moved further to the Biblical principle of sacrifice? Average Australians are really very wealthy when we are compared with the 4 billion people who inhabit this planet. God gives us enormous opportunity to do good with everything He has provided for us.
Is Bishop Al Stewart right about us?
