Imagine Church…

That celebrates Christmas.

Christmas Lights It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Walking the streets of greater Dapto you’ll see Christmas lights a plenty. It seems this is an area that knows how to celebrate, but do they know who to celebrate? How can we help? Over the next few nights we will be taking photos of the biggest and brightest Christmas displays. The best homes we will be thanked for their contribution and offered the chance to have our very own XL carolers visit their street to sing and join the celebration. As the praises of Jesus are sung and invitations to our Carnavalè extended, let us pray that under God, once more Jesus may be known as the reason for the season. Imagine if Christmas was just the beginning…

Imagine…

Imagine a neighbourhood where every street has a bible study group meeting in it and every person has a friendship with a Christ follower.

Imagine every edition of the Mercury has a good news story about something positive a church has done in the Illawarra.

Imagine that every un-reached people group in the city has a vibrant ministry caring for them.

Imagine every major club and organisation in the city has Christians active and well known for their faith.

Imagine every school, hospital, shopping centre and business has an active Christian group or presence.

Please pray for people throughout the district who do not know Jesus. Pray specifically that God will put people across their path to influence their lives and lead them to Christ.

Imagine a city that repents like the great city of Nineveh where God showers His mercy.

Connecting This Christmas

Getting close to the un-churched people in our lives, listening and building bridges for the gospel is the primary way we can let our “light shine”. Our church is concentrating on 2 main ways of achieving that this Christmas.

Our Young Adults Group “XL” Are Carolling

XL have come up with a great idea of bringing some Christmas cheer to your neighbourhood by organising groups of young adults to come & sing Christmas Carols.

So how does it work?

  1. Book the Carollers through the Church Office.
  2. Distribute some invites to your neighbours & those in your street.
  3. Organise some light refreshments.
  4. Join in the fun and singing with your neighbours.

XL Carollers available 7pm on

  • Mon. 17Th December
  • Wed. 19Th December
  • Fri. 21St December
  • Sat. 22Nd December

Carnivale Christmas

We have concentrated our Christmas outreach in 2007. In combing the outdoor carols, the real experience and the special outreach Christmas Eve Services, we are aiming to provide a dynamic experience for the people of our community.

Our aim is to relevantly present Jesus in a way that your neighbours, family and friends will understand the real meaning of Christmas in the midst of a great family celebration.

Make sure you set aside either

  • Sunday 23Rd December
  • Monday 24Th December
