There’s hope for us all

Everyday we encounter a barrage of communication from TV, the internet and the radio. In most cases God is ignored or at least marginalised and Jesus is viewed as unimportant. Most events and news are interpreted with an understanding of the world where there is no absolute authority or creator.
God consistently demonstrates His power and our need to depend on Him. Volcanic eruptions in Iceland are a recent reminder of what God can do and how helpless we really are.
Our Bible passage today from 1 Samuel 7, challenges us to call upon God when things are tough. The Israelites had turned their back on God for twenty years but He still had mercy on them. There is hope for us all!
