Our Youth Groups started back last week and this term we are exploring the idea of ‘Who Is This Guy?’ We will be asking this question about Jesus, as we work our way through the Gospel of John.

The first night we learnt that Jesus is definitely a man worth following and that Jesus doesn’t just want people to make decisions to be followers of Him but rather people to become disciples of Him.

We gave our young people the opportunity to make this decision and change in their own lives. An incredible amount of young people either decided to become a disciple of Jesus for the first time and/or to sign up for our discipleship classes. In fact 24 youth made this decision! (Which meant a sleepless night for an excited Youth Minister!)

Be encouraged, like me, that our God is still drawing people to Himself and saving people to a lifetime with Him in and through our Church here in Dapto.

I want to thank my Church Family for being a church that supports youth ministry, giving  people a place and an opportunity to come to know who Jesus is.

Praise God:

  • For the youth that made this decision to enter God’s kingdom and for those that want to develop and grow as disciples of Jesus.
  • That God’s Spirit be at work in our church and our young people’s lives.

Continue to pray:

  • For our young people as they work hard at living out their faith everyday.
  • For the leaders as they nurture these new disciples of Jesus.
