Patchwork and Papercraft Show
Each year the Patchwork and Papercraft Group, have a show to display the crafts they have been working on over the past year. We use the show as an opportunity to invite the community to come along, not only to view the beautiful work, but as an invitation to join the group and to attend other events held at church. We displayed more than 60 quilts and our youngest quilter was 8 year old Kate Robinson, who made her first quilt. Well done Kate.
As an experiment, this year we held our show over two days, which proved to be our most successful yet. We had a Trade Table on which all items were hand made by the ladies and many visitors took the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping. The Papercraft group held workshops over both days where people made beautiful cards to take home with them.
All monies raised at the show is used for our ‘Women’s Ministries’ enabling us to reach more women, introducing them to the gospel, and ultimately to God’s Kingdom, which is our main focus. We now have a Growth Group, with 7 ladies from the Patchwork and Papercraft group, most are new Christians and we praise God for their sisterhood.
This year we were able to showcase our new church building and our Cafe, which was kept extremely busy during these two days. Thankyou so much to Jill & her volunteers for their hard work and opening on Saturday.

God has blessed our group with wonderful hard working women, who are just the best team to work with and many thanks must go to Allan Mackey, David Masters and John Eagleton who made our lovely new quilt stands, making our display look sensational.
We thank our Lord Jesus for the many blessings he has showered our group with and pray that new women will continue to join us in His name.
Thankyou, our church family, for you support and your prayers.
