Our opportunity shop (op shop) aims to provide affordable second-hand clothing and goods to the less fortunate whilst offering volunteer opportunities to our community. Through our op shop we can help out as part of God’s church family, serving our community and share the message of Jesus.

Where is our Shop?

Located in the Dandaloo Shopping Centre, just off of Kanahooka Road. It opens from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and again on Saturdays 9.30 to 11.30am.

What does the Op Shop Sell?

How could I help?

There is always a need for new volunteers in 3 areas.

  1. Retail Shop Volunteers: staff the shop, restocking, hanging, sorting, displaying and keeping the shop tidy while serving customers. If the opportunity comes up as they share life with our customers, they will share Jesus and the hope He gives us all.
  2. Van Collections: Volunteer drivers & helpers are needed to collect from our various donation bins, returning the goodies and unpacking into our sorting facility.
  3. Sorting Facility: Volunteers spend Mondays helping to sort & distribute the donations for resale.

What happens with the $$ made?

Funds are set aside to cover rental of the shop and our sorting/storage venue, also towards the upkeep of the Op Shop Van & clothing bins. Profits are used for valuable ministry opportunities at Dapto Anglican Church, for instance, it pays for the student scripture books used in 5 primary schools in Dapto and we financially support Anglicare, Anglican Counselling and welfare. There are many other outreach opportunities.
